July General Membership Meeting

  • New Terrain Brewing Company 16401 Table Mountain Parkway Golden, Colorado, 80403 United States (map)

NOTE: THIS MEETING HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO SEVERAL OF OUR EET MEMBERS ASSISTING WITH THE ASPEN ACRES FIRE EVACUATIONS. STAY TUNED FOR A NEW DATE SOON! We usually take a summer break and skip the July meeting, but this year, we had the opportunity to book guest speaker Fred Martin from the Broomfield Historical Society for a presentation entitled “Beer and Horses: An Unexpected Broomfield Origin Story of the Zang Family.” The Zang Family is deeply rooted in Colorado’s history, including the creation of what is now the City of Broomfield. The family’s brewing operations are legendary among Colorado’s beer drinkers, and their involvement with horses, particularly Percherons, is widely known among the local equestrian community. The event will be held at New Terrain Brewing, where ride-ups are welcome and hitching rails are provided.

While this month’s meeting will take place on a Tuesday, general membership meetings are typically held on the first Monday evening of the month. All active members and volunteers will receive an email with meeting location and agenda details 7-10 days prior to the meeting.
