Join us and our guest speaker Fred Martin from the Broomfield Historical Society for a presentation entitled “Beer and Horses: An Unexpected Broomfield Origin Story of the Zang Family.” The Zang Family is deeply rooted in Colorado’s history, including the creation of what is now the City of Broomfield. The family’s brewing operations are legendary among Colorado’s beer drinkers, and their involvement with horses, particularly Percherons, is widely known among the local equestrian community. The event will be held at New Terrain Brewing, where ride-ups are welcome and hitching rails are provided. Click here for the event flyer and here for a local trail map for those who choose to ride in. Note the date on the flyer was the originally scheduled date. August 4 is the confirmed new date!
While this month’s meeting will take place on a Tuesday, general membership meetings are typically held on the first Monday evening of the month. All active members and volunteers will receive an email with meeting location and agenda details 7-10 days prior to the meeting.
