A Common Vision.

The mission of the Jefferson County Horse Council is to promote and to protect equines and equine activities in Jefferson County, Colorado including, but not limited to:

• Promoting education concerning equines to members, youth and the general public

• Promoting equine welfare, including assistance with large animal evacuations during disasters

• Stimulating and encouraging the use of equines including preservation and support for trails, open spaces, neighborhood arenas and equine habitat

• Promoting diverse equine groups and activities including for human therapeutic purposes

• Preserving the role of equines in the county’s Western heritage

• Serving as an umbrella organization for equine   activities in Jefferson County, Colorado

• Acting as a collective voice that promotes and sustains these values for the interests of our members
